Unrelenting in the empowerment of women, our First
Lady Desiree A. Eastland has worked with passion and spirit in equipping
and encouraging women to maximize their potential in every facet
of their lives.
Our First Lady is the founder of the “R” Conference for Women. The
“R” Conference, an annual event, is one of the best conferences
in the Metroplex area. The conference provides women with the necessary
resources to live better lives. As with “R” Conference attendees,
she challenges the women of our church weekly with exhortations
to be our best, do our best, and to live in God’s best.
Our First Lady has committed her life to Christ for the empowerment
of the women and children of God for the Kingdom of God. First Lady
Desiree founded and directed the award winning and state recognized
Harambee School of Advanced Preparatory Education. The Harambee
School was created to promote and instill the values of excellence,
integrity and confidence in children.
For her work with women and children First Lady Desiree received
the Inspire Woman of the Year Award. She serves as Director of Women’s
Empowerment Ministries @ HOPE Church – Pearland. Our First Lady
has committed her life to Christ for the empowerment of the Women
of God for the Kingdom of God.
Desiree Armstrong Eastland has a Bachelor of Arts from Wellesley
College and her Masters of Education from the University of St.
Thomas. She is currently pursuing a Masters in Christian Education
with a concentration in Women’s Ministry from Southwestern Theological
Seminary.
